Baroness Warsi is passionate about both women and also bringing the Muslim and Jewish communities together. So it was a huge pleasure to work with her and Julie Siddiqui (the Islamic Society of Britain) on an event hosted at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to celebrate International Women’s Day.
With over 100 women, Jews, Muslims and Civil Servants in the room, Baroness Warsi entertained us all by pointing out the differences between a Women only event and a more traditional government reception. Indeed, it’s not often that you see guests at the FCO sitting on the floor, shoes off, eagerly meeting new people and working out what we can do together to change our world!
This is the start of something big.
